Delegation from Chinese Association for International Understanding (CAFIU) led by Vice-President Ai Ping visited Bosnia and Herzegovina from May 6 to 8 upon invitation of BiH Center for Promotion and Development of Belt and Road Initiative. Mr. Safet Softić, Deputy President of the House of Peoples of BiH met with the delegation and the two sides exchanged views on China-BiH relations and issues of common interests. The delegation held a symposium of “Belt and Road Initiative and People-to-People Connectivity” together with Center for Promotion and Development of Belt and Road Initiative. Over 50 delegates from major think tanks, NGOs and higher education institutes of BiH attended the symposium. The delegation also visited Faculty of Sinology of Eastern Sarajevo University.
CAFIU delegation visited Montenegro from May 9 to 11 upon invitation of Green Home of Montenegro. The delegation met respectively with Mr. Milan Roćen, Member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party of Socialists of Montenegro and Mr. Dragan Pejanović, State Secretary of Ministry of Interior of Montenegro. The delegation held discussions with Green Home, Women’s Organization, European Movement, Association of Economists and Managers and other NGOs and think tanks of Montenegro and exchanged views on the Belt and Road Initiative and people-to-people connectivity. The delegation also visited the highway construction site of China Road and Bridge Corporation and Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in Montenegro.
