The Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation was held on May 14th. China NGO Network for International Exchanges (CNIE) General Secretary Zhu Rui attended the opening ceremony and high-level session. On the Thematic Session on People-to-People Connectivity sponsored by IDCPC, General Secretary Zhu gave a briefing on the purposes, principles, missions and targets of Silk Road NGO Cooperation Network and Chinese Social Organizations’ Action Plan for Closer People-to-People Bonds Along the Belt and Road (2017-2020). As a delegate of major initiators, General Secretary Zhu, together with Mingalar Myanmar President Phone Win, announced the official launching of Action Plan and Cooperation Network.
There are over 270 Chinese and foreign NGOs joined the Cooperation Network, and Action Plan members cover more than 90 Chinese NGOs.
